Why Side Quests?
A space for the random challenges, experiments, and reflections that don’t fit neatly into my main work.
Singapore life can feel like one long main quest — study hard, chase the career ladder, keep moving faster. I’ve been on that path in tech and security, but along the way I keep finding these smaller detours: things I try on the side, ideas I can’t shake off, and lessons that don’t quite fit into my “serious work.”
That’s what Side Quests is about. A place to park the random but meaningful stuff:
- Personal challenges I set for myself.
- Thoughts on money, property, or just trying to budget better in this city.
- Crypto experiments, half-baked frameworks, or reflections on what it means to keep up here.
- Basically, anything under the sun that sparks curiosity.
I’m not aiming for polished essays here. These are quick takes, honest notes, maybe even messy at times. The goal is simple: share the journey of figuring things out — as a Singaporean, as an overachiever, as someone just trying to find the best way forward.
If the main blog is where I build credibility, Side Quests is where I stay curious.
